Re: Google Earth plugin for Linux
With SAS planet you can create raster maps for land regions, not just for coasts.
Producing the raster .kap files.
The Google PI for other systems than Windows (macOS, Linux Intel, Linux ARM, Android..) does depend from the (non-)existence of libraries from Google to be able to write the corresponding plug-ins.
Even for Windows Google surprises quite often with changes of the interface, so that the PI has to find workarounds. Google is not very helpful in this context, to put it in neutral words.
As said: OSM and SAS planet are sources you can use to get your maps for land excursions from.
