Garmin gdp to gpx conversion

Hello,
I am new here and this is my first question.

From my last sailing trip I have a track registered with a Garmin GPSmap 60C using the Garmin gdb format. How can I convert this gpx for import into OpenCPN?

I have tried several programs and none really helped. The only which came near was the ITN converter, which accepts in its freeware version a much too short set of the track points. Also, it opens the gdb file OK, but I could not save it as gpx. I run W7 64 bit.

Can anybody help?

Although a little old (it works on W7) I think G7toWIN will convert Garmin tracks to GPS.

The other option might be to use Garmin Homeport. This is now free to download and use. No need for a chart, the basemap is good enough for this method.

Open the gdb with Homeport, select that file in 'My Collection' and export to 'GPX'.

The GPX reads with OpenCPN ("Import GPX...") using Route Manager.
