Free OpenCPN Icons

I made these .Freely given.Right click, save as,Change the extension to ".xpm" from ".doc"

GreenfishIconEditor
http://greenfish.extra.hu/ which does xpm icons just fine.
The reason there are different models is preference...to get the "right click" OPCN easy to find AND to show any text without looking ugly.
In GFIE,use the centre finder to build your icons around so the above is intuitive...

Oh!You just make a folder called UserIcons in the OpenCPN program files.
On XP,OpenCPN installs to "C:\Program Files\OpenCPN\UserIcons"

Of course,I'm hoping others will post some... Icons for special purposes...But -it goes without saying?- don't post ones you haven't drawn yourself or derived from your own photographs.

Re: Free OpenCPN Icons.

Gilletarom,hi.Well,I dragged the GE window around if that's what you mean and it still works fine here.

But,they're just waypoint icons.If they're not working for you,don't use em.Just delete em.Problem solved.

Or better, make one that works just the way you want it to and post it here for others to use.

I put some more detailed explanations on the wire GE because I guess it relates Pavel develops plug-in GE.

3 once again I have the experience. This happens when I create a new folder icon xpm User> Icons. If I stop the machine and if I restart, the problem disappears.

That said, what do you mean by "em" ? I do not understand.

Gilletarm
Sorry for English slang ,Gilletarm...sadly,mon Francais,c'est execrable!
But,now I am confused now myself by you saying,
"when I create a new folder icon xpm User> Icon"........
It is likely just a language glitch but just in case there is a problem there in....
I hope you have read this,
Routes and Marks | Official OpenCPN Homepage
if I didn't explain it well enough.
but to paraphrase:

"A user can install his or her own icons to use with marks etc.

1. Create a new folder IN the OpenCPN folder called "UserIcons".
-In MicroSoftWindows, its path would be like: "C:/Program Files/OpenCPN/UserIcons/"(this is the default directorywhere OpenCPN installs in Windows)

In Linux create the directory: /usr/local/share/opencpn/UserIcons.

2. Add [your homemade].xpm files into this directory. They can be any size. ...etc... These new icons will appear on the Waypoint Properties dialog, and can be assigned to any waypoint..... etc....
"

I only suggest this in the hope that you might have misinterpreted and be able to fix all your problems so easily, because if the folder is correct and the xpm icons are in it,it seems odd that any icon would interfere with the GE plugin....?
But if there is a bug and I just can't reproduce it..... you can see how it's hard to solve the problem, except to say, delete everything you did and give up on icons.
