Open the Route Manager, click the Waypoints tab, click the "Delete All" button.

Re: Feature Requests

I would like to be able to set the background color of the status bar. The default gray doesn't provide much contrast with displayed text.

(I would also like the vertical extent of the status bar to be recomputed correctly with status bar font size changes, but I guess that's more a bug report than a feature request...)

Re: Feature Requests

_QB_ ,

give the Status Bar plug-in a try - might be a solution for you (in case you are not on OS-X)

Some time ago I filed a request to include the timestamp in the waypoint properties display and in the Route Manager, including sorting. This should also help in removing lots of spurious/temporary marks, as we usually know when they were dropped in numbers...

+1.

I personally have reservations about SignalK as an "NMEA-replacement" communications protocol (YMMV), but it's great as a model for sharing information at a high level, and inter-boat information sharing (as well as intra-boat) has been a consideration from early on. Maybe the mechanics of the network layer down need further consideration but this fits right in with the SignalK information sharing model. Excellent use case.

If all the marks are close together, you could move your cursor to the vicinity of the marks, right-click, select "move boat here," than open route manager and sort the waypoints by "distance from ownship." Then you'd have all the marks at the top and could easily shift-click to select the group and then delete.

Re: Feature Requests

Why not have a corner drag box to select wp and delete, bring up a list to edit, etc. Might be another job for jongoug boundary tool.

If something falls on the return key, all the marks created will have the same name and, most likely, be at the top of the waypoints list. Simply select the first and last and "delete".

Re: Feature Requests

I think it should not create a second waypoint at identical latitude and longitude. Is there a reason to do this? If so it should at least prompt, or ignore repeated return key events (require the return key to be released before pressed again)

Re: Feature Requests

First of all: thank you all for this great program.

Feature request:
Would it be possible to use folders in the route and mark manager.
I have a large number of custom waypoints, bouys and other marks.
And sorting them in folders would be very helpfull.
Sorting routes in folders would be usefull as well now I export and import them as needed.

ccgarnaal...
If they are mostly static, which I suppose they are, you can use Layers to organize them.

I suppose that you are referring to a char using the gnomonic projection?
If there is such a beast available.....which charting program would you use to display it?

Mercator (or polyconic) will do. I am refering to those charts that have the recommended routes on it. I had the CD and unfortunately trew it away.
