dynamic POI

I'm not a sailor, but I'm attracted by OpenCPN
I also played a litle with embeded system, Phyton and Road GPS.

So, here is my damn stupid question : Can we add/update a POI to openCPN from other application ?

well, basicaly i'm looking for add/update POI based on updated Fishery data.
