Display AIS Base Stations on OpenCPN

I am new in this forum from now and I am not aware of earlier questions on this. Anyhow, I do not see any AIS Base stations on OpenCPN while my AIS receiver is receiving them (checked with Hyper Terminal). Is it possible to add the display of AIS Base stations including a dedicated symbol and the relevant details when clicked with the right hand mouse button on AIS Target Query (similar as AIS ships).
May be something for the next upgrade?

Regards

Wim

Wim...

Good idea. Can you capture and send me a hyperterm log with AIS base stations embedded for testing? We don't have very many of these in North America....

Dear All,

I have done something to decode and display it, if you like I can send to you what I have.

Best regards,

Andrea....

Please send what you have. I especially wonder what is the best symbol to use for Base stations.

I've got AIS signals from several base stations in the "PacCupStart.txt" NMEA file on the Downloads page for NavMonPc: NavMonPc.

Display AIS Base stations

Dear Andrea,

thank you so far. As you see, Dave is already interested and I leave it to him for the moment. I am not familiar with programming so I believe it will be in good hands. I advised Dave to use a simple square for the display of an AIS Base station. See AIS and ARPA Target symbols for other symbols of AIS stations.

Best regards,
Wim
