Delorme´s inReach Satellite locator

Delorme´s inReach Satellite locator has finally arrived in Brazil.

OnixSat,a well established tracking company will be their Brazilian representative.

I am in contact with them in order to see if it is possible to incorporate some of the features of inReach, here called SPY2 Satellite,with OpenCPN.

The InReach can be used on it´s own,or linked to a Phone or Tab via bluetooth,at which point it is able to both send and receive short messages on-the-fly. It also has the usual HELP and SOS capabilities and uses the Iridium satellite network.

inReach also have their own Android app called EarthMate displaying Tracking - Map - History and Messages as well as a sliding SOS button.

There is also a public page displaying your position and track for family and friends.
