Custom NMEA guages displayed in openCPN

Can anyone tell me how to display for instance Engine temperature NMEA sentences generated from an analog gateway? such as the one below?

NMEA Compatible Wi-Fi Wireless Marine Networking by Chetco Digital Instruments

Theres a lot of proprietary software to do this, but I was wondering what if any work has been done here.

I have searched your forums to find an answer about this, but i didnt find anything.

i think i have found the spot where the NMEA 0183 sentences are listed in OpenCPN.

Can anyone point me towards a thread so i can contribute without duplicating whats already been done?

Running OpenCPN on a fanless Atom D525 1.8Ghz board, using Xinutop image. Runs very well, very stable.. I have been inputting NavMonPC NMEA simulation data over TCP into my OpenCPN machine for about a week now.. no complaints.. My OpenCPN box thinks its onboard an Americas cup boat sailing outside of SanFrancisco harbour ! lots of fun.

Would love to show engine gauges next !

Adding an instrument(s) to the Dashboard plugin is the way to go I think. The framework is already there, and only a small amount of coding needed for extra gauges.
