Thanks very much Stelian. I will update Github and compile for Windows.

Just about to set off for my Summer cruise (7-8 weeks). Not a lot gets done while I am away.

Biggest thing to fix is where the grib data is missing. Should we use the planned speed for this and warn for the errror?

As stated elsewhere the USA tidal currents from harmonics are rectilinear e.g. 020/200. Gribs show the cirular rotation of the tidal current. This is important in many European areas, e.g. the Channel Islands.

The current behaviour is fine to me... But this is because my current gribs for my area of sailing are quite complete even near the shore.


If this needs to be modified for other places, your suggestion makes sense: use the planned speed instead and warn the user, maybe telling him how many miles were concerned by this missing data, so the user can decide if the miss is significant for his route.
