Crash Reporter files in beta

I think I have followed all of the instructions to the letter to built the latest beta. I wanted to run it standalone without creating an install packege. I got to these insructions:

For a Release build you also need to copy the following from builwin/crashrpt to build/Release:
CrashRpt1402.dll, CrashSender1402.exe, crashrpt_lang.ini, dbghelp.dll

Only problem is those files don't seem to exist anywhere. Am I missing something?

What I have is creaRpt1402.lib, crashrpt_lang.ini and CrashRpt.h. I have dll's for the other include plugins, but not crash report.

I have no errors in either the release or debug build. I have a few warning about m_pi being redined and a couple of unused variable. The only other one that seems perhaps serious is a DLL misusage, but it isn't related to the crash reporting stuff that I could tell.

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Doug

Doug..
The Build instruction Compiling - Windows | Official OpenCPN Homepage is both accurate and precise, you've to carefully read every words. It may be you've missed this:

>>>>>>>>>
3.1 Get the binary dependencies

In case you want to make the Release builds and create the setup packages, you must get OpenCPN_buildwin.7z and extract the archive into your toplevel......
<<<<<<<<<<<<<

And BTW...A little advice if you don't mind. Do build the package and you will get everything installed in one operation. Resent binaries as well as the inbound plugins. The package builds very nice. I always use it, sometimes many times a week.

Re: Crash Reporter files in beta

Thanks, Hakan,

When I read the description of that, I took as it was only needed if I intended to build the package, which I didn't. I downloaded that and it fixed that problem. I have am having problems building the package as it is looking in wx_widgets for files. I need to figure that out. I have all the environment variables set and all the other build steps work properly. I haven't had time to sort that out. I appreciate your help and efforts on this. I never mind suggestions, so feel free anytime.

Thanks again,
Doug

Doug,

Again, go back and read the instructions very closely. There is information on how to deal with wxWidgets issues.

Re: Crash Reporter files in beta

Thanks all. Got it sorted out. One thing I did notice. On my Win10 x64 system, the NSIS entry is not where the doc says it is. It is actually in a folder called WoW3264. I copied the Unicode entry to the root of NSIS and all worked great.

Thanks again for the help.
Doug.
