cm93 Offset Missing from Manual

I posted this last year but cannot find it anywhere.

The discussion of cm93 offsets has been deleted from the latest OpenCPN manual.

Please restore it. Thanks, Terry

Re: cm93 Offset Missing from Manual

Terry I am not so sure it was deleted. It was probably moved under charts advanced

Is that it? You can edit it further if you like.

Re: cm93 Offset Missing from Manual

Terry
It's very unfortunate that the documentation isn't complete.
The documentation is based on a snapshot of the wiki. I can only conclude that at the time, the CM-93 offsets were not in the right place in the documentation tree.
I doubt that Dave is willing to go through a new release to correct this problem.
The best thing to do, for now, is to download and save snapshot locally, if/when an Internet correction is available.
The link Snapshot is always available on
the download page Download. Scroll down to "OpenCPN Documentation".

Re: cm93 Offset Missing from Manual

Terry, have you looked at the CM93 Offsets link that I posted above? I am not familiar with the material you refer to, if the above is not the material, if you have a copy I would be able to post it to the User Docs under the same directory.

Re: cm93 Offset Missing from Manual

Now, I understand. The "Help" documentation does not have this page. Perhaps a link was not correct at the time the documentation was compiled for version 4.2 build. We checked all links, and tried to verify them all, but it is a lengthy and repetitious task. I am sorry if we may have missed that one. We should probably verify that the link for that page is correct so it does not happen again.

This brings me to the question of updating the User Documentation perhaps we should be looking at the change log and making sure the current documentation remains unchanged.

Also a number of plugins need revisions/improvements to documentation including
weather_routing, weatherfax, watchdog, ODraw, NmeaConverter, etc.

We need some User volunteers to help!

Re: cm93 Offset Missing from Manual

This page is under OpenCPN User Manual > Charts > CM93 Offsets
CM93 Offsets | Official OpenCPN Homepage
and it should have made it into the offline manual.

The link to CM93 Offsets on this page is correct, so the page should be found in the offline manual. Additionally, the full outline, found here
OpenCPN User Manual | Official OpenCPN Homepage
does show the CM93 Offsets page under Charts and it's link is correct.

Therefore the page should have been included in the offline documentation, however the process is not completely hands off, due to the need to remove extraneous external links, so there is the possibility of human error. Sorry.

Just download the html page as Thomas suggested.

Note:
The item just before it, Advanced Chart Work is a link to Supplementary Software so none of that material is intended to be in the offline manual.
From the OpenCPN User Manual > Charts > Advanced Chart Work
Advanced Chart Work | Official OpenCPN Homepage
From there you are linked to Chart Conversion Manual which is under "Supplementary Software"
Chart Conversion Manual | Official OpenCPN Homepage
