Climatology does not work

Hi All!

I installed the 4.0 OpenCpn and everything work ok, but Climatology, which works ok on the 3.2.2 ver.

Decompressed the file in the ..\data directory
I enabled the OpnGL
I launch the Climatology
when I check the "WIND" box, the program shuts down.

Help?

Your OS? Anything relevant in the logfile before the crash? Do you have both the latest plugin package and latest data?
Can't reproduce it on my Linux machine.

I found now the log, seem something corrupt, i attach the file

I tried to torture it as much as possible on a Windows virtual machine and am not able to make it fail.
Make sure to have the latest data from Download opencpnplugins from SourceForge.net
And try to disable all the display options in the configuration screen. Will it fail then? If not, please try enabling them one by one to find where exactly the failure happens.

The WIND files are corrupted as i can see in the log, the currents and cyclones data are displayed.

I downloaded the data files compressed from the right souce. I try to downlod them again. I will let you know.

Now everything is working.

You shouldn't need to extract the data files, they are part of the package. The wind files were updated in the latest climatology version so the format changed.

If you have a corrupted wind data file, please share it somewhere so I can can make opencpn crash. I should fix the plugin to instead inform you the file is corrupted.

The files I downloaded was the wrong one :CL-DATA-0.7z: the wind files do not works and - after - i read the right package is: CL-DATA-1.0.tar.xz.

The above mentioned package has to be exctracted into the

..\OpenCPN\plugins\climatology_pi\data

Now everithyng is working.

Yes for current version cl-data is 1.0. The pervious one should also work but it has less wind data.
