chart bar - Toggling & indicating custom photo KAPs

How do other users keep track of customized KAP files which show Google earth images when running OpenCPN?

I'd like to be able to toggle these kinds of custom KAP files, have a quick way of turning them on and off.

Just thinking out loud about how best to use these files.

One idea is to have them in a separate directory, or a separate Chart Group. Though I haven't found a way to toggle a particular group on & off.

One way to toggle is to use Chart Groups. One group contains the GE KAPs and the other doesn't. Use the right click to switch between groups.

My GE KAPs are mostly in areas that are poorly charted, like Belize. These charts are at a much smaller scale than the regular charts, so that, the GE Kap chart doesn't show until you zoom way in well past the usefulness of the regular chart. If the GE Kap becomes distracting I "Off" it.

That's what I would like.

Where do you right click? If I click on a displayed map, or in the char bar, I don't see a choice related to Groups.

Position the cursor over the chart area, right click, and the second from the bottom item is the Chart Group Selector.

And I like that I can have one group with the everything plus photos, and one with everything without the photos.
