Changing waypoint symbols en masse

I uploaded all the waypoints on my Garmin 72 to OpenCPN. It appears that the default waypoint symbol is "empty" although the chart shows a circle with a dot. If I open waypoint properties when I close it the circle disappears. There are too many waypoints to change the symbol one at a time. Is there any way to change the default upload symbol or to change all the waypoint symbols at one go?

Thanks

Lew

Lew...
OpenCPN uses an enhanced GPX format to store the waypoints and other navigation objects - you can edit it in any decent text editor not messing up Unicode. The file you are looking for is called navobj.xml and is located in the same place as the config file (Click the help icon in the toolbar if you don't know it's location)

OK I got it. I used Notepad++ to find and replace all the "Empties" with "Circles".

Thanks
