Challenge with OpenCPN Route Planner

After assigning speed, start time, date to my OpenCpn Route planner the route planner does not calculate the ETA's to a waypoint correctly. If you take the distance of a leg from the Route Properties and compute time for leg added you the previous waypoint's arrival time their seems to be about a 10 minute error.

I have also noticed the course on the chart popup is 1 degree difference with what listed in the route properties.

I have screenshots of the above, but don't know how to include them as a http file.

Your help would be appreciated.

Re: Challenge with OpenCPN Route Planner

I have after a short test not been able to confirm your time error.
The course discrepancy occurs in about half of my test legs. Probably due to different rounding code(?). This needs to be corrected.
Can you elaborate a bit more? A few screenshots would help.

Re: Challenge with OpenCPN Route Planner

The time from the starting waypoint to the 2nd waypoint is not correct. After the 2nd waypoint the time is correct based on the 2nd waypoint's time. I moved location of my vessel to the 1st waypoint and the route properties show the distance from the vessel to the start waypoint as 0.0 .

Thank you for your response.

Screenshot

I placed my vessel at the starting waypoint. The ETE is correct to the 2nd waypoint, but the ETA is not correct by 10 minutes and the reminder ETA's are correct based off the time at 2nd waypoint.

Thank you for the response.

From the FAQ for this forum

Quote:
How do I add an image to a post?

If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.

To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?) in this way too.

Re: Challenge with OpenCPN Route Planner

Hopefully you received the http screenshot of the route properties that I sent yesterday. When I hit the attach button the only choice I get is a http request. I don't see any choice of uploading directly from my computer.

Thank you. I feel a little stupid right now. I thought I had moused over every icon choice, but missed that one. Again, thank you for setting me straight.

Re: Challenge with OpenCPN Route Planner

This is the attached screenshot showing the miscalculation of the ETA from the start to 2nd waypoint from Route Properties. ETE is correct, but time is 10 minutes off. Help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
