Can't rcv NMEA instument data (TCP) for dashbord

I'm a new user. In advance sorry for poor knowledge about openCPN.

My goal is to connect a GPS and Seatalk bus to fill dashbord, so
having all relevant data in one view (my OS is Ununtu 12.04)

I made a small program which receives the GPS data and which converts seatalk data to NMEA, sending all NMEA sequences by TCP.

I built last version, 3.1.1105 and was happy to see that now also plain
TCP is supported.

The NMEA data window of openCPN shows all coming in : the GPS data like GPGLL as well as the NMEA from seatalk like IIMTW, IIMWV etc

However the NMEA from seatalk (IIxxx) is not showed in the dashbord.

Who has a suggestion to solve this problem ? Thx in advance.

Sir,

You may have better luck getting a response if you re-post this question on the OpenCPN sub-forum. OpenCPN - Cruisers & Sailing Forums

Re: Can't rcv NMEA instument data (TCP) for dashbord

I, too, am a new user of OpenCPN, having always used dedicated chartplotters previously, and am having the identical problem: Seatalk GPS data works on the Dashboard but not the wind rose and other nav data.

I don't find anything to tweak on the OpenCPN side.

Where do I err?

Thanks for any advice,

Kelly
