Can't get OpenCPN to work on my laptop

I have downloaded and installed the stable version and downloaded some ENC charts from NOAA but can't make them talk to each other.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled, no luck. I'm using Firefox 27.0.1 on an HP630 running Windows7 64 bit. Any suggestions?

I hope you have gone through Installing Charts | Official OpenCPN Homepage
If so, make sure you unzipped the charts in case you downloaded them compressed.
In case you are sure you did all this, we need to have a look on your logfile (Just tail part describing the last run of the program is enough) - Read Installing OpenCPN | Official OpenCPN Homepage for instructions how to find it.

Thank you for reaching out.

I have uninstalled it so I will download it from your link and reinstall. I an attaching a screen print of the unzipped folder of files which I tried to link to OpenCPN. Will send the end of the log file after I do the above and try to open the app.

Worked much better this time.
What I did differently: moved the unzipped chart files into the folder before I installed OpenCPN.
I'm trying to attach the logfile but post won't let me.

".txt" file uploads are very limited here....rename the file "logtxt.doc" and attach it as a ".doc"
