Can i Lock Icons

Hi All
Just joined the forum as im really impressed with opencpn and have only just found it on the net, i downloaded it, installed my charts, and i must say, think its a really great plotter.
Problem i have is, i spent hours putting waypoints in, from which i found could be moved around when i moved the chart with my mouse
Is there a way i can lock the icons, or is there something on the programme i'm over looking
thanks
Bri

Bri...
Toolbox -> Etc. -> Lock waypoints unless a waypoint property dialog is visible
OR
Put them to layers, which are read-only

Bri...
Both of these are available in 2.5. But no problem if you try the pre-release, we are close to making it stable and one more tester never hurts

Re: Can i Lock Icons

Brian...
You can use whatever can produce a bitmap. What makes it a problem is saving the bitmap as XPM, which can't be done directly by most editors especially on Windows. Have a look for the icon thread in this forum - there's quite a few tools people use to convert the formats. I personally prefer GraphicsMagick on the command line, but Nconvert and Irfanview should serve equally and have a GUI.

You're not the first one.... I would try LibreOffice Draw, its an easy to use vector drawing tool that can save as PNG.
