That looks very interesting. I once derived the equation for distance to horizon based on height of observer, and showed it to an islander and he claimed it was incorrect. In any case, I didn't deal with atmospheric refraction, so he was probably correct.
It would be cool if you added in support for height of object on horizon, because often there is a mountain, or ships mast

although I think it's incredibly complicated because of how it can reflect.. but doesn't work all the time so..
Then maybe something dealing with bottom growth rate could be interesting.
Another idea, maybe if you can enter in barometric pressure readings, and wind
data over time, and some other things (like temperature, geographic location) on a timeline maybe it could predict what the wind
would likely do (speed and direction). I know this sounds complicated but it should be possible.
Anyway great start, and keep working on it. I'm still stuck in null pointer hell on my weather
routing since the circular skip lists got kind of complicated.. but at least it runs 20 times faster than before (until it crashes)
