Bug Report v3.0

Changing waypoint icon in Route Manager causes all icons to disappear from the Icon column.

'I couldn't get into Flyspray.

Jim...
Can't reproduce. Your OS? Exact steps to reproduce (In route manager, at least I, can't change the icon at all...)?

Thanks

Pavel

Re: Bug Report v3.0

Hi Pavel;

This happened in XP and Win7x64. When I opened V3.0 to refresh my memory of how I changed the icon in Route Manager, the icons were back!

To change a waypoint icon in Route Manager, open Route Manager, click the waypoint tab, and highlight one of your waypoints.

Open properties on right and you can change the icon there.

Thanks, Jim

Jim...
Thanks for clarification. So now we have just the "Can't reproduce on any of my machines" part left - anybody else seeing the same what Jim describes?

Thanks

Pavel

Re: Bug Report v3.0

Jim & Pavel

I can't repeat on Ubuntu nor on XP.

An idea! Yesterday when installing a plugin on XP I was asked where I wanted to install, in "opencpn" or "opencpn 3.0", or something similar. There was no "opencpn 3.0" folder on the computer!
Could there be a mix-up, where O is looking for icons?

Jim, can you publish (part of) your logfile ?

Thomas

Re: Bug Report v3.0

I haven't been able to find the logfile in Windows 7. I can recreate the problem (ie after changing a waypoint icon in route manager and saying ok, the icons disappeared from the icon column), but then I tried again and the bug did not manifest.

However since they always reappear after restarting V3.0 its not as serious as I thought.

Thanks for your help and I'll keep an eye on the situation.

Cheers, Jim

I still think we need to understand what's going on.

Re: Bug Report v3.0

Hi Thomas;

I went through the logfile (included 14 sessions), and unfortunately it didn't record any of the activity involving the route manager. I saved a copy of it. Is there anything else I could look for, ie an exception? All the entries looked clean and normal, but seemed to only include activities of opening and shutting down the sessions, nothing else.

Cheers, Jim
