I am unsure as to how to download the NZ charts you refered to

Good News first...
Check this post http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ml#post1037313 for instruction on how to get a complete set of updated NZ charts.

It looks like you somehow have a kind of double setup of CM93, at least in size.
A typical CM93 (version 2) setup is 1.3 GB containing 20,204 fies in 915 directories!
No wonder O is refusing to recognize it. Do you have still have the original source for your CM93 installation?

Yes, no restrictions. Check the documentation that comes with OpenCPN press and then the Help-tab.
