Rik...

The alarm sound files had copyright issues. They had to go. Sorry.
Any generic .wav file may be used. We leave it up the user to find something suitably annoying on the web.....Ring tones, anyone?

I just installed Build 710 on my Windows 7 PC. The new route manager button causes the program to immediately lock-up and then crash as soon as it is pressed.

I have a feature request as well. It would be really nice to have an "Apply" button on the settings screen so that I can play with all of the different configuration options without having to re-open the settings every time I want to test something.

Dear Dave,

I`am using openCPN for a few monts now and have been positive suprized.
One matter showed up til now. In Europe there are at the moment thousends of inland carco ships with a, so called, Inland-AIS. This is a class-A with extended functions.
What i see in openCPN is that class-B and class-A are showed correctly with shipsname, but the inland-AIS only show the MMSI number and no further information like shipsname and dimensions. All inland-AIS targets stay at the yellow color.
Maybe this is a issue spending some time to?
If you want have raw data from inland-AIS, give a shout, i collect it then. Even realtime as tcp/ip with portnumber is a possibility.

With regards, Jugo

Dear Dave,

I am still trying to collect data, but in the meantime i want attend you to this site:
Ais Decoder

It is for me more easy to forward live AIS data over TCP to a portnumber. You get than realtime data from the Amsterdam Area and inland waters.

With regards, Jugo

Cruss Plugin Access

I'm working on a plugin that will make use of grib data and I could use some guidance on how one plugin can access another plugin. Examples would be helpful. Is there a mechanism that one plugin will know if another plugin has been loaded?

Thanks,
Fred

Very impressed with the new route manager. Bye Bye Seaclear.

One small bug? When I import GPX waypoints I must restart OpenCPN to view them in the WP tab.

I'm not sure if the following is a bug or a feature request. When waypoints are included in a route (by drawing the route to an existing WP and answering yes to the "do you want to question") that WP can no longer be listed and if the route is deleted the WP is also deleted.

I would prefer that 1. WP's included in routes still be listable and 2. that existing WP's not be deleted when a route is deleted. 3. WHen a WP is deleted that exists in a route a "do you want to do this" appears and, if so, the WP is deleted from both the route and WP list.
