Hi Dave,

About route and "Send to GPS...", only the waypoints are sent to the GPS, not the route. I try with two Garmin GPS, 126 and 72.

Dave,

We ran build 911 yesterday through our departure from Charleston offshore down to St. Helena sound and in to the ICW again down to Beaufort SC. It worked great with the following exceptions:

Approaching the St Helena sound inlet was kind of bouncy and I think I accidentally pressed the right mouse button twice very quickly which abruptly closed the application. I have been unable to repeat this and will play with it some more tomorrow on our way out Port Royal Sound. The system is XP pro, and the computer remained stable after closing opncpn. I now have the new build and will be using it till there's a new build.

The "stretching of the boat icon" issue still occurs but only fully zoomed in.

I now have 917 loaded and will report in on it tomorrow if our Verizon card works from St Catherine's Sound.

Regards,
Chris

I'm running build 917 beta on Vista Home Premium. OpenCPN crashes when I click the 'Show Tides' button and then right-click on a tide icon on a chart.

Dr Watson doesn't exist in Vista. How can I create a dump file?

New crash bug

Dave,

When I'm entering St John's River entrance to Jacksonville FL and then move the curser over the continuation of the ICW southward and right click to "show max detail" a box opens up and gives me a message that it is "ingesting" a file as it normally does but it never makes any progress. If I cancel and then close the box the program closes. I've repeated it several times and get a the same crash each time. System is XP Pro with Build 917.

Regards,
Chris

New bug: empty current graph

Dave

new, to me at least:

I found several current stations nearby with a gray center (not a full orange square like most)

Not sure what the gray square should indicate, please clarify.

Right click on one of these, the current graph comes up empty.

See screen shot:

Update on new crash bug

If I wait a very long time the "ingesting" message completes and an S-57 chart is displayed with no crash. But if I try to cancel and close while waiting the program crashes.

More testing has revealed this usually occurs when the "ingesting" message takes a long time and I press the cancel button and then close the dialog box. Sometimes it works though. And the more I try to make it crash the harder it gets to crash it. If I wait till the chart file finally loads I can't get the crash in that area but if I move to a new unopened area I can get it to happen again. Still Windows XP pro, build 917.

Chris

Chris, does this only happen with S-57 charts? Do you have RNC / BSB charts for the area? If so, do the BSB charts behave ok?

So far, it has only happened when attempting to load an s-57. I have all the raster and vector charts produced by NOAA.
