Australia / PNG / Indonesia / Phillippines charts

I'm helping some people who have obtained a former large fishing vessel at no cost and will use it to deliver supplies from the east coast of Australia to a cyclone damaged area of the Philippines.

They intend to load the vessel with donated goods, and then leave it for the locals to use to ferry supplies from Manila and other populous areas to the outlying damaged communities. They've arranged with a local organisation to manage and operate the vessel after the initial delivery.

My job is to configure some donated laptops with chart plotter software (OpenCPN) and interface them to an AIS transponder and GPS.

All is good except for one thing. No technical issues but I have not found any free charts that cover east and north Australia, PNG, Indonesia and the Philippines.

I did find the free NZMariner charts, they cover part of the route but stop at PNG.

Does anyone know of a source for OpenCPN compatible charts for the required areas?

Probably not much help, but I purchased some paper charts off ebay a few months ago that cover areas of PNG. I only want a couple of them & would be happy to give to the rest to Malcolm & Anna if they are of any use.

I'm in Hobart so no postage/freight issues.

the AHS S-63 charts are available for OpenCPN. Not for free. But you might contact AHS for sponsoring perhaps.

For Philippines there are quite a lot of users here that might help.

Yes, I have so many charts, but the problem is I cannot upload using a slow connection.

For your purposes you can probably just use cm93 charts.
