I've read the threads and you now seem happy.

Anchoring is a favorite actitity and do it a lot so I am aware how difficult it can be to get it right! Onboard my boats fixed chart plotter puts the maker down where the boat is; this is not helpful, it would be much more useful to put it over the anchor so the alarm goes off if the boat approaches a danger as it swings arround the anchor. Your example illustrates the situation nicely.

I like the way PjotrC suggested using the latest alarm value as the next default but I was concerned that there was a possiblity of it all getting far too complicated for what is such a variable activity.

Am now waiting for PjotrC to get back to Anchor Watch later this year so that I get a sound when the alarm goes off, then I can get a good nights sleep!
