Alarm goes off by itself!??

Hi Folks,

Using 3.3.604 since it has come out. All fine.
Then a few minutes ago I start it and the alarm goes off!
I havent dragged.
My AIS is set to have NO alarm at the moment as I am anchored.

Why has it gone off? Why cant I turn it off?

I have deleted my Anchor Watch

Yesterday there was a DSC alarm that another boat heard but didnt sound on my VHF radio.

All I can think is maybe its an AIS text alarm? But I cant see any text etc.

I will reload the program.... butt here *must* have been a reason, and why cant I shut the alarm off???????????

Mark

Re: Alarm goes off by itself!??

There was a bug around there in 2.5.0, maybe it is still there...

I reported a similar thing in 2011: cf. my post https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?p=774828 and next reply. Seems a rare case, though.

So, if you swim back, you might want to check the .ini file

Re: Alarm goes off by itself!??

Mark...
3.3.604 has known (and fixed for the next 3.3 beta) problems in navobjects handling, which was rewritten for performance. All I can say it's not recommended to use it in "production" environment...

After that swim did you find a pink marker and scribble/ doodle on your screen.

They are NOT scribbles or Doodles! Thats art and they show I am a significantly creative person, sensitive, caring and full of love and fuller of beer.
