AIS Tracking in OCPN

Today I tried to enable tracking for a vessel on display for the first time.

For some reason, the AIS track button on the detail window is disabled (greyed out), and adding them to the "always track" from the mmsi number does not work either.

Have I missed something required in setup somewhere, or does this function not yet work? Same on 4.0 and on 4.1.602 beta, both on Windows...

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thx
Matt

Matt...
You have to enable the "Show targets tracks" option in Toolbox -> Ships ->AIS Targets. It can perhaps be considered a bug and we should allow the per target options to be available completely regardless of this setting.

Re: AIS Tracking in OCPN

Thanks Pavel, all working. I reckon a good idea to make the button able to track single targets....
thanks
Matt

Re: AIS Tracking in OCPN

Tracks for individual targets would have been really useful as we dodged fishermen pulling pots in heavy fog!

Re: AIS Tracking in OCPN

I save tracks but for some reason when I set it on 300+ minutes it always reverts back to the default 60 minutes after a while. I find them handy for comparing boats performances as well as popular routes around reefs.
