About half of the expected AIS tracks visible

Dear All, i got OpenCPN 3.2.2., a COM port emulator and a AIS log file. When parsed with Advanced NMEA decorder i see 5477 MMSI numbers but when send to OpenCPN (via TCP) the AIS target list shows 2893 ships. In the NMEA Debug window i only see green lines (message accepted). Any suggestions?

Some of the targets were not seen for a long time and expired?
Impossible to judge without looking at the file.

The limit range is set to 570NM now but it does not make a difference.

Is the expire time a configuration setting in OpenCPN?
