Re: What is the best boat to circumnavigate with a two person crew

Bristol 41.1 is a overbuilt boat, full keel, draws 4.5 feet with center board up, easy to single hand, lovely traditional lines, and will not break the bank.

The Pacific Seacraft 37 is a good choice, easy to single-hand, sea-kindly and with enough carrying capacity to get you across oceans.

Re: What is the best boat to circumnavigate with a two person crew

My advice is re-consider The Dream. Instead of circumnavigating, loop around the Bahamas, then make the next trip farther in the Caribbean, then Central America. What's the fun of weeks of boredom in trade winds, everyday getting farther from help?

Lots of quality Water boats">blue water boats, and some with tricky flaws. Get a really good surveyor. Then be committed time and $ to make everything blue water safe: the seacocks, hoses, clamps, hatches, wiring.........A "good old boat" may be good, everything is old.

A Hallberg Rassy 35. Doesn't get much better than that
