Saling up the Amazones

Hi, my name is Helena and I am new to this forum. I have a 9 meter wood epoxy very seaworthy sailboat and I am based in Marseillan (South West coast France). I will do the Atlantic crossing to Salvador de Bahia this year and after that I'll sail up the Amazon river as far as I can. I have a very little budget and I am planning the voyage now. I still need some equipment like liferaft, dinghy, AIS receiver, extra GPS. I also need charts I already have a monitor windvane, an autopilot, 1 Garmin GPS, VHF, Solarpanel, batteries, engine (14 HP inboard Volvo Penta Dynastart 1978), new sails (main and furling genoa). I have one month to prepare and I am now gathering as much information as possible. I am looking for someone who has made this trip and also for very practical info about what to bring and what are the least necessary equipment to have on board for this voyage. Hope some one can link me up. Many thanks! Helena
