| Now that my search has narrowed for a boat - Question Now that my search has narrowed for a boat, I have a protocol question. Obviously I’m not going to ignore the advice to have a survey completed and my question is, if the boat is not on the hard, who pays for having it hauled for the survey? Should I ask the broker or owner to incur this expense or is it typical for a prospective buyer to pay for taking the boat out of the water for a survey? |

You do..but if it dosent go back in the water and the owners wants it out on the hard I would tell him to split it with you or no way..and re splash it..( the survey will be done in the slings ) and he pays for all the blocking cost if he dose leave it out.
