It looks like two refrigerant line plugs, male and female, from something like a refrigeration installation. The installer then put the two pieces together to save them, then forgot. Keep them forever, they may come in handy.

Thanks, Best guess so far was either refrigerant or propane line caps

not sure where this leaves the wager. feel like we have both got some vague ground to argue on.
