Parts4Engines in the UK will ship Perkins parts anywhere. Had an upper gasket set shipped to British Columbia in less than two weeks. Valve cover gasket was better quality than what I bought locally. Prompt response to emails.

Re: KA LUNK

I think we're coming down there in March, we'll see, we have some boat stuff to fix and some obligations around here for now.

Re: KA LUNK

Zee, we blew the head gasket when our Westerbeke 30 ran away in Guanica PR in 1992. The paint job we did while waiting for parts looked a lot like yours! I have to tell you, after we got everything back together and running, on the next trip we blew a freeze plug (must have been weakend when the engine ran away) and the entire paint job got covered in oil. And the bimini, as well, when we opened the cockpit sole engine hatch to see what the trouble was. Oops! Fortunately, spare freeze plugs were aboard…we had wondered what the heck they were.

If I ever find the pictures I took of our paint job, I will have to resurrect this thread and post them.

Re: KA LUNK

Find an old Ford tractor with the 4-108 and take it and its 30 gal fuel tank, no one would notice right? On second thought don't you dare mess with the farmers implements.......
