How do you earn an income cruising full time?

I'm an environmental consultant and just need a phone (Skype will do), computer and Internet to do work anywhere. I am NOT cruising yet so not sure how that might actually succeed, but I have a good client base and might be able to keep it going. The biggest hurdles I see are the time zone differences and reliable internet. I keep thinking when I leave in a couple of years, Elon Musk will have figured a way to have 24/7 Internet capability anywhere in the world and I'll be set. That, or the 2 properties in Florida that have taken a smack down in the market for so long will finally be recovered enough to liquidate. I also used to joke that I'll just get a sugar daddy when I'm ready until a friend said why would a rich old man support an old woman who wants to sail by herself around the world when he can get a 20-year old? I'm older than 20 but certainly not old and yet my friend still has both his knee caps, but it did make me rethink that option
