alright- the insults have come from across the pond till I can't take it anymore- After all we don't know if this goat is even USDA approved! We will not allow this goat to come within the economic line (200 miles off our coast) of the United States until he agrees to be quarantined and examined by our officials.
BTW- I think he needs to pass a morality test too- You go Ocean Girl!
The salamander can pass- he is probably a endangered species.

It's possible the salamander is also in medicine, so Dr. Newt's pass might also be seen as a professional courtesy to a colleague.

Luckily for Billy, he (or perhaps she) is on a RTW fastest non stop mission which will preclude him (her) from sailing anywhere near the USA .

I see my professional objectivity is at stake, so let me here state that I did not have...umm I mean the salamander's skin did not have any effect on my judgment. (Wheww!):0

Amphibians, as we all know, are the tell "tails" of pollution in the modern world. We have contracted out the salamander to check water purity and pollution levels during his voyage.

A major GPS manufacturer has asked him to check out any bugs in their new mini-gps system.

And he is in important SSB comunication with a small reptile that sells insurance.

And so the endorsements come rolling in. Take that you Billy-Goat!

Karma….Goats on a Boat!

The last Typhoon to pass over the Philippines is now a Tropical Storm hanging around the top end of Luzon but drifting southward. Still producing 130kph winds so Gale force winds are happening where I am.

This evening I took the Ro-Ro ferry from Mindoro to Luzon and I think the gods are paying me back for all of my really bad goat jokes.

3 long bed trucks ....double decked with goats.... were loaded on and packed very tightly with my SUV and other commercial vehicles.

Usually I stay in my car, to escape the crowds up top but the smell was unbelievable on the cargo deck so I crowded in with the foot and bus passengers.

Once we got going and the motion began, Pandemoneum broke out!

The goat smell was strongly wafting up the stairwells and they were not happy with the motion…voiding and bleating ...just added to the already pungent atmosphere.

Lots of people began throwing up, kids wailing and mothers screaming at every thump.

Add a karaoke machine where one "girlie boy" was practicing his/her Celine Dion version of the Titanic theme song and you get the picture of a surrealistic 3 hour trip from Hell.

I did take some photos of the Goats on a Boat which I will download in the next few days, because it is past midnight now in Manila and I really need a bath.

Pan Pan Pan…Goats to windward!”…sorry too tired to stop!

Saltimander and Rudy Update....

Saltimander has run into some very bad weather on the fringe of the Typhoons. Suffering one knockdown after another Mr. Mander noted: "I shall carry on... Water is not a problem....however, these slimy decks are an issue...are these things supposed to lay over this far??"

meanwhile, Rudy chose a more southerly route and is making good time toward the equator..... McGruff quoted Rudy from the SSB net this am: "I can almost taste those chops.....a good stiff breeze, ears flapping... what more could a Dachsund want?.......... Ok a French mini poodle right now would be fun!"

As a moderator I just gotta say we are wandering off-topic folks.

These salamander and dog posts seem to have nothing to do with goats - I would hate to have to hand out some whoop-a$$ or heaven forbid close down such a serious thread -

(PS - Please make sure your humor and sarcasm detectors are set to high gain...)
