Challenge: Things that Don't Work on Boats !

OK, here we go.

Two burner stoves that only except small pans!

1) sail slides that don't slide
2) water hose nozzles that don't shoot a good straight stream
3) And a lot more stuff I can't think of right now.

How about you?

Re: Things that don't work on boats!

I have a pilot house. The steering pedestal for the ph steering is a beautiful thing made from teak. I'm sure when it was first installed it was a tidy receptical for wiring but over the years things were modified, gauges added and replaced and it is now a wiring nightmare whose new purpose is to make it as difficult as possible to get at the wires or to know where they are going. OF course it matches the wire runs in the rest of the boat which were nicely sealed behind the finished woodworking.

Headliners.

I know they are pretty and all and help with insulation (does that mean it is always wet behind them?) but I would rather see those bolts, nuts and stuff.

Hose nozzels that have a trigger on the back of "the gun". When you drop them on the deck, they always squirt directly at you.

Chafe resistant

You can have my weems and Plath clock. I think if you have 2 of these clocks and a the correct tables a sextant and know exactly where you are you can figure out what time it is.
