Moi.....????

Seems no more silly than 10 ak47's and four rpg's for a two man crew in a plastic boat... lets face it... its a problem thats been around for quite a few years for sailboats wanting to transit the Red Sea... its just that the Somali's have upped the game a bit.... bigger is better... when you look at the statistics... sailboats do ok...

I sometimes think yachties talking guns on boats is like the British Army talking guns in Afghanistan in the 19th century... your gonna get yer ass kicked

Finally someone with a good idea! In a similiar vein; put a shrunken head on top of every stanchion and a big cast iron pot on the foredeck and hang a sign up in Somali that says, "Pirates always welcome for dinner."

I found this in a farming elevator in North dakota
they have replaced the duck boom. It for getting ducks out of grain fields

It is a 12 gauge shotgun shell but instead of shot it has a quarter stick of TNT that shoots about 20 to 30 yards and looks like a flare to the untrained eye.
I think if you hit some one with a spot light and shot a few of those they may change there mind about boarding you.
I haven't trying shooting one from a flare gun yet but i think it will work fine

All I know is if I had the skills, talent, and balls, to sail across an ocean by myself or a minimum crew, any pirates should be avoiding me.
