Its one of those "I dunnoh" boats that I frequently see from a distance. Sorry, I'm not good at this game.

I beleive it's related to the Bolger Brick. Only pointy on one end. Right colour for a brick too I think...........m

I would guess that it is home made. It sort of has that disjointed, cubism, slab sided plywood look to it. If thats the case then whoever built it did a decent job in the aesthetics department.

Looks similar to a Far Harbour 39 - like it's designed to fit inside a shipping container.

Thanks for your responses, especially the cubist one! Couldnt find any manatea web page, but I'm willing to believe bitman on this. The boat is actually quite big, at least 44', and didn't look ugly in real life

Maybe I'm becoming more tolerant of unusual-looking sailboats, but "ugly" was not what occurred to me looking at that pic. If not for the plumb bow, unusual color and the Lagoon-like pilot house, it's a typical cruiser.

How do plumb bows work in big seas, anyway? I know they handle flat water and chop just fine.
