Z091 or Z120 Transducer

I have Raymarine ST 50 Plus instruments, including echo thunder. The transducer for the Eco thunder gives both depth and temperature according to previous owner.

The temperature reads --.-- in the plotter. Last fall I saw it working, but seemed incorrect figures.

I bought the boat recently pre-owned so I don't know so much...yet.
Previous owner said "it's a known problem with the transducer". Guess it makes sense, as it's providing depth ok. it the same cable or a separate one for the temperature? Need to rule out the cabling at this stage of the troubleshooting.

I have read the Autohelm SeaTalk ST 50 Plus Echo Thunder manual. Temperature is not mentioned anywhere in it.
