Xm Radio PIN Code

I am trying to connect a 6+ year old XM Marine Radio to a Simrad CP31 MkII Chartplotter without chopping off the existing connectors. I have managed to find the necessary wire colours but I need the connection code for the XM 8 pin Din plug which will connect to the Simrad NMEA socket. Does anyone know it please? I have what I guess is the standard diagram for the 8 pin Din but to which terminals do the 2 wires go?

The XM Manual says NMEA + is yellow
NMEA - is green

Is there a convention governing which pin each colour uses?
