Winterizing Electronics

I am having my boat pulled for winter work and one item came to mind this morning - what to do about the instruments, electronics, etc. in the cockpit.

Pull them out? Is covering enough? Something else? Most of my non-marine electronics (e.g. the car GPS) say not to leave them out in temperatures below freezing. So what do you do each winter? (The boat is being wrapped)

Would suggest removing all electronics and keeping them in a climate controlled space (under your bed for example). Most units un-plug so this is not a high tech project. Besides protecting them from the freezing and thawing of condensation inside the unit (on the circuit boards) this is the ultimate theft deterent project you can implement. Of course if you were truly concerned about your boats well being You would take it somewhere warm ,chuckle, chuckle. Currently in herb river ga and south bound.
