Will Iridium GO provide gps position to non-cellular iPad?

I have a non-cellular iPad, which means it has no in-built gps chip. I am thinking of using the iPad to connect to the Iridium GO and run apps like PredictWind and iNavX.

My question is whether the iPad will get gps position information from the Iridium GO when running an app like iNavX? Or would I need an iPad with built-in gps to get location?

Thanks
