My 5 Mile WiFi did around 12 miles once. Line of sight. It's not the distance, it's the interference. It was coastal rural, few other stations. It won't do 100 yards in a city.

I'm using a Ubiquity Bullet as we speak.
I don't know where the signal is coming from, but the closest possibility is at least 3 miles away over a hill. No LOS here.

Well lets see, I was sailing down the coast of California about 5 to 10 miles offshore.Turn on computer with "5 mile wifi" attached,log on to open network and lo and behold I am looking at grib files and checking emails.
