Re: Which Tablet.

The reviews on Google Play are limited not all that favorable and at over $50, it is not very economical. Can anyone recommend a better program for android tablets or is this the best offered?
I read the posts on "Nexus" search. Just wondering if anyone has an updated opinion.

Re: Which Tablet.

Have not tried it yet, but OpenCPN has an android port. Will not cost you anything to try it and see if you like it. Based on the 40K+ posts on the OpenCPN forum here on Cruisers Forum it is certainly popular.

Re: Which Tablet.

My "chart plotter" is parallel rule, dividers, compass, speed log, sextant and paper charts. Oh, and a pencil too.

My iPad is a nice convenience. It is WiFi version and I use the Dual Bluetooth GPS.

After 3 years in the tropics, two iPad tablets going strong on board. Next tablet will probably be the waterproof Sony Xperia.
