Which one to buy M801E or M802 ?

I need a bit of help.

We know we want an Icom SBB, but we don't know which one to buy.

We are also radio amateurs so we need to have a radio that has the ability to transmit on both marine ssb and ham bands.

Please tell me advantages of one compared to the other.

They are essentially the same radio. The 801 is sold in Europe, the 802 in the U.S.

Denverd0n is correct however, if your given a choice, go for the 801 as its Main Unit has an improved sealing/water tight box that will prevent ingress of humidity.
