What waterproof rating for cockpit mounted displays?

Hi!

I'm researching replacing the ancient chartplotter at the nav station with a DIY solution using openplotter. I'm looking for displays currently, however everything I'm finding that's waterproof is IP65, which says it's ok for jets of water, but not submerging. I've trying finding what your average brand-name charplotter's waterproof rating is. Does anyone know? I'm trying to find out to see if IP65 would be ok for my use.

Thanks!

Re: What waterproof rating for cockpit mounted displays?

what pricing are you finding on ip65 screens?
ip65 won't take submerging but heavy rain and sea spray should not affect it, assuming it is true ip65, what people say and what it is are not always the same
