Waterproof Coating for Your iDevice

Just came across this: Liquipel | Waterproof Your Cell Phone, No Case Required! - "Liquipel is a revolutionary process that applies a waterproof coating to your electronic device to protect them in the event of accidental exposure to liquids. It is not visible to the human eye, virtually undetectable and Liquipel will not compromise the look, feel, and performance of your electronics.
Liquipel penetrates the entire device as a whole, including all of the vital components inside and out to provide optimal protection against accidental contact with liquids."

They should be adding iPad to their list of devices soon, so navigating with iPad in all sorts of weather will become more and more feasible. Now if they could only come up with a Bouncepel coating for when you drop your iPad...

But you still can't do this with it (this is my Android Motorola Defy, in a fish tank):

I just use a Lifeproof case. I don't know if Apple would be happy with a penetrating coat for warranty purposes. This case is only a pain if you use a dock or have old cables with the larger end that plugs into the device. SC

Re: Waterproof coating for your iDevice

They do already offer this coating for iPhones and Apple seems to be happy with that - docking and connecting peripherals is not a problem. Hopefully iPad is just around the corner.
