VHF choices

A little frustrated.
Have a Ray54E VHF. It is networked with Raymarine system using apparently, the Raymarine network. The radio works fine but now lives in the USA and is programmed for international channels. US and Canada are not programmed into the unit. Raymarine sways send it to them and they will program the US channels but can't give me a cost. Raymarine advises an installer can't do the programming. Radio receives gps signal from network for DSC.
What is a direct replacement for the Ray54E? I have separate AIS receiver and transmitter but would like to retain the gps for DSC via the Ray network.
The alternative is to get a new radio with built in gps but it adds an extra $100 or so.

Re: VHF choices

I have never seen a radio that can't be switched modes? normally you can do it in the menu.
