Re: Using PC as secondary plotter

Great info guys. Really thought provoking, but just remember that there still has to be money in the cruising account to purchase Paper Charts. Nothing compares. And when you get your Captain's License the USCG does not test based on the use of a Electronic Chart or GPS. They require plotting based on good old Paper Charts !!!
So, Smooth Sailing into the New Year, Rick

Re: Using PC as secondary plotter

Many modern plotters output second station via wifi to any phone or tablet.

I do not like touchscreen and had problems using them with wet cold hands.

A Windows tablet is 99$ now and OpenCPN is still free.

Have your pick(s)
