USB GPS Antenna ?

Hey folks,

I'm shopping for a USB GPS... I have a Garmin handheld with the USB cable, but I'd prefer something that I can permanently attach to an onboard computer.

Has anyone used the Rose Point one?

Amazon.com: Rose Point Fixed-Mount Marine USB GPS Sensor with WAAS: Sports & Outdoors

The GlobalSat one (Amazon.com: GlobalSat BU-353 Waterproof USB GPS Receiver: Electronics ) looks pretty janky, but at least the price is right...

Thoughts?

I just bought the globalsat one from amazon and picked it up on Monday. We used and abused the previous identical one for almost two years until it died, which was probably due to kicking it around a lot. For 36$ you can't really go wrong. We used it with Nobeltec on an older windows xp laptop and on my ubuntu build with opencpn. Simple to install and no fuss. Just make sure that you plug it in before you power up the computer or it won't receive. (at least in our experience)
